Farmhouse chic, vintage antiques, funky jewelry & sassy clothing all rolled into one way cool space, enticing you to wander every inch of the creative displays...that was the goal of the Marigolds Chicks!
Marigolds Farmhouse Funk & Junk is an ever changing creative stash of our family talents, by mom, Nancy, sisters Lisa & Lori, and Lori’s daughter, Danielle. We opened in July 2011, and knocked down the wall to double our size with an expansion in late 2013.
Nancy, an antiquing veteran, lives in Northern Missouri, and brings truckloads of antiques from the Midwest at least once a month. We laugh that she rolls up into Breck looking like a hillbilly...with anything from windmills, rusty bicycles, to colorful metal chairs stuffed into every inch of her truck! Good Junk!
Sisters, Lisa & Lori, both hand make most of the jewelry sold in the store, as well as the printed clothing. Lisa specializes in the hand soldered initial pendants at the ‘make your own necklace’ bar. Lori, a published artist, paints all of the witty signs hanging throughout the store, as well as the whimsical canvas paintings.
And, last but not least, Danielle...she might just be the most talented of us all! Having just graduated from college with a degree in Interior Design...we snatched her right up for the family business! She does handmade jewelry, and the funky clothing in the new ‘boutique’ area of our store.
So now that you know Us...come on in, listen to some good music (dance under the disco ball), take some time to discover all our ‘good junk’, and most of all, have fun! We certainly do!
